What Is Islam Means? - If you go back to the language dictionaries and learned the meaning of the word Islam is: humbling oneself, submission , surrender and obeying Allah's commands and heeding His prohibitions without objection, sincerely worship Him and faith in Him. The word Islam has became the name of the religion which was brought by Muhammad, peace be upon him (without denying the facts that previous religion which brought by all the Prophets is named as Islam as well).
Why the religion called Islam? All of different religions that existed today in the earth, it has been designated by their names, either in relation to the name of a special man and or a particular nation. Christianity took its name from Christ, Buddhism known after it's founder Name Buddha, as well as Judaism took its name after a tribe known as Yehudah (Judah), and it became known as Judaism and so on. But Islam, it does not belong to the special man, not to a specific nation, but its name refers to a recipe that included in the meaning of the word Islam.
What this name indicates is that the establishment and founding of this religion was not the work of one particular man and that it is not special for certain nation without other nations, but rather that its aim is give the attribute implied by the word Islam to all the peoples of the earth all of characterized as such, from the ancient people and present is a Muslim,everyone who acquires this attribute in the future will be a Muslim as well.
